Cultural Activities at Grace College
Grace College considers exposure to and involvement in a variety of cultural activities as an essential part of the education process. The school offers a Cultural Period every Monday afternoon between 14h30 and 15h30. Additional time is allocated t
o activities where required. The Cultural programme is based and managed on the following principles:

Grace College recognises the value of the various skills learnt through the participation in the various cultural activities at school. Skills including self confidence, public speaking etc are valuable skills we would like our pupils to learn and practice whilst at school.

All pupils are encouraged and expected to participate in at least one cultural activity a term. Recognition is given to pupils who participate in other activities not offered at the school.

An Inter-house competition for some of the various cultural disciplines takes place throughout the year and is keenly contested between the 3 sports houses. In some cases the pupils will participate in inter schools events during the year

Grace College proudly boasts a strong Drama department with many pupils choosing to take Drama as a Matric subject. Dramatic skills are developed in Grade 8 and 9 and pupils are given many opportunities to perform on stage. Inter House one-act plays and a major school production are alternatively produced each year.
Interact
The interact club is co-ordinated and managed by the pupils of Grace College with the aim of being effective citizens in our local community. Many community service initiatives are successfully completed each year.
